1. Oracle VM VirtualBox (Download). This software helps you to install new OS in your Computer without removing your Windows.
2. Android image (iso) file, the setup file for installing Android OS on your Computer.
Steps to install Android Jelly Bean on your Computer:
Step 1: Download Oracle VM VirtualBox and install it on your computer.
Step 2: After installing VirtualBox, Open it and click on “New” button.
Step 3: In the new dialog box, put any name and select the operating system “Linux” and type “Other Linux”.
Step 4: After putting these information, click on “Next” to go for next step.
Step 5: Now in the memory dialog, select the memory for the Jelly Bean installation and click“Next”.
Note: Minimum 1GB space required for installation of Jelly Bean.
Step 6: After setup of your profile on VirtualBox, right click on your profile name and then click on “Settings”.
Step 7: On the settings dialog, click on “Storage” and choose your Android .iso file for the installation.
I you don’t have CD/DVD writer, you can choose your file from your hard drive by adding SATA Controller which give you permission to install OS from your hard drive.
To add SATA Controller just right click on Storage Tree box and then click on “Add SATA Controller”.
Step 8: After adding “SATA Controller”, right click on SATA Controller and click on “Add CD/DVD Device”.
Step 9: After this, click on “Choose Disk” and select the (iso) file that you have downloaded.
Step 10: After adding iso file to VM, click on that file shown on left side of VM and then mark the “Live CD/DVD” option.
Now its time to install Android, click on “Start” button to begin with.
Step 11: When Virtual Machine run, press F12 to boot from CD/DVD or from your hard drive.
Step 12: After boot, you have several options to run android on your PC. Either your install it or run directly. I don’t want to use it further, I just installed for this tutorial so I choose to run directly (You can install it in your hard disk to run directly by single click on the icon in future).
Step 13: After selecting the first one option, android OS will started and ask you for language. Select the language in which you want to run and click “Start”.
Step 14: After selecting language, click next or skip the other startup options which are not useful at all.
